Free crochet daffodil flower tutorial
My March flower for a Year in Bloom couldn’t be anything else but a daffodil. This one is a really small flower, inspired by the dainty Tête-à -tête daffodils you often find in small plant pots. I love to see daffodils appear in spring, they’re so pretty with their yellow heads bobbing around on the tall slender stems in the March winds.
The pattern is written in a tutorial style and each flower is very quick to make so they are ideal for brooches or adding to wreaths or garlands.
Materials list:
- Small amounts of DK yarn in yellow, cream and/or orange
- 3mm (C/2 or D/3) hook

Special stitches
ij On the last stitch of any round, do not sl st to join. Snip the yarn and pull the loop so the end of the yarn comes out of that stitch. Thread the yarn onto your needle and under the legs of both parts of the ‘v’ of the second stitch of the round (or other stitch as indicated), then down through the middle of the last stitch of the round. picot ch 2, sl st in second ch from hook
